problem with payment

Hello everyone, so I live in Belgium and I have a maestro card (debit) in our stores we have 1 POS system where you can swipe, insert card and type in pincode and just scan...
So after searching hours about instore carding, I came to the conclusion that I wanna test the pos systems with my banc card.
So got into a shop and I tried to swipe my banc card (chipped card, 202) and there was an error. I tried it over 10 times at different POS.
Can anyone explain me why I can't swipe my card???
Because when you wanna do instore carding the only option is to swipe to card from the things i've read.
Or is there any other option???
If so, let me know in the comments :p ( btw the swipe was declined)

Alright so when you clone cards you have a few options to get emv software to code the chip or buy a special card that jams the POS the first try you use the chip that forces you to swipe or use a clone card without emv software on the cards after 3 tries on the POS you can then swipe
